Designed to be a fun but safe activity for people of all ages, it is a fast-paced sport with only limited physical contact allowed. There are enthusiastic clubs throughout the UK and Europe, and it is two of these – the London Sharks and the MK Phantoms – that will be competing in the attempt to beat the world record for the longest continuous game, which currently stands at 24 hours 15 minutes. “The Teenage Cancer Trust does amazing work for young people who often have very challenging lives,” said Scott Blackwell, Managing Director at X3M UK, “and X3M is delighted to be one of the principal sponsors for this event. The money raised will mean that the charity can do even more to help youngsters, and we sincerely hope that there are many others who will follow X3M’s lead by making additional donations via the JustGiving website.” The attempt on the world record for the longest continuous game of Floorball is being held at the Olympos Leisure Centre in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, over the Late Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 29th and 30th May. Athletes from all over the world will compete in two different contests: speed and freestyle. In the speed event the competitors leap over obstacles, which are specially built for Parcouring™ and try to complete the course as fast as possible. In the freestyle event a jury judges the athletes.
